Add-ons alongside day care or boarding
A handful of the day-care businesses also sell something extra: K9 Daycare adds one-to-one dog walking and pet visits, Gee's Doggie Daycare sells a stand-alone 30-minute sit and an hour of dog training, and Woofy Warehouse Doggy Day Care runs one stay-and-play weekend session a month alongside its weekday day care. None of these extras change which of the two core services a business offers; they are worth asking about separately once you have settled on the right service for your dog.
Which to choose
If your dog needs cover for part of a working day, day care is the more specific service and usually the cheaper one per visit. If your dog is staying overnight, ask whether the business prices boarding by the night or by the twenty-four hours, since these are not always the same figure.
