What to ask either way
Whichever you choose, ask how many other dogs will be there during your dates, from how many households, and how much individual attention and exercise your dog gets in a day. A home boarder's routine depends heavily on the individual running it — Holly Wood Hounds' own site states a focus on Cocker Spaniels and small-to-medium breeds, for example — so ask whether the boarder has experience with your dog's size and temperament. At a kennels, ask to see where your dog will actually sleep and exercise, not just the reception area.
