Dog boarding and day care prices in Torquay

Prices are as the businesses published them when we last checked (September 2026). They can change without notice, so confirm them when you book.

Twenty-eight dog boarders, day cares and kennels are listed for Torquay across its eight areas, from Torquay town centre to Dartmouth, and only three of them publish a price on their own site: Happy Dogs R Us, Monty's Friends and Cary Boarding Kennels. Everyone else quotes once they know your dog's size, temperament and dates, so the figures below are a floor for what boarding and day care cost locally, not a full price list for the town.

Day care

Happy Dogs R Us runs day care from a unit on the Yalberton Tor industrial estate in Paignton rather than a house, open Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 6pm, closed weekends and bank holidays, cash only: £15 for a half day and £24 for a full day for one dog. Monty's Friends, a home boarder working from a house in central Dawlish, also prices day care by the half day (9am to 1pm, £20) and whole day (9am to 5pm, £30), alongside its overnight rate.

Overnight boarding

Only one business publishes an overnight figure: Monty's Friends charges £35 for 24 hours of home boarding, including dog walks and feeding to the owner's specification. None of Torquay's four boarding kennels — Cary Boarding Kennels, Castleford Pet Centre, The Dog Lodge or Blackdown Rings Kennels & Cattery — publish an overnight kennel rate, so ask each directly for a quote and what it covers.

Grooming as an add-on

Cary Boarding Kennels, a kennels near Denbury trading since 1968, publishes one further figure alongside its boarding, day care and training services: £20 for a wash-and-go groom. This is a grooming price, not a boarding or day-care one, and is the only add-on price found for the town.

Everyone else

The other 25 businesses listed for Torquay, including 21 of the town's 23 home boarders and three of its four boarding kennels, do not publish a price. This is normal for the niche, especially for a home boarder, who typically prices around the length of stay, the number of dogs from the same household and how far they need to travel — have your dates and dog's details ready when you call. None of the prices above include extras that often apply elsewhere: bank holidays, collection, or a second dog from a different household are commonly charged on top, so confirm the final total before booking.
