The Dog Lodge is a boarding kennels set in 20 acres a mile outside Slapton village, near Kingsbridge, trading since 2007. Dogs are exercised individually around the owner's own land and taken to Slapton Sands and the nature reserve. It opens daily, 7:30am to noon and 5pm to 7pm. The business states it holds a South Hams boarding-kennels licence; South Hams's own register could not be checked online, so ask to see the licence and ask about vaccination requirements before booking.
