Dog boarding and day care in Torquay, area by area
Torquay's eight areas sit across three councils, and this directory's twenty-eight dog boarding, day-care and home-boarding businesses are spread unevenly across them. Paignton alone holds nearly half; one area has none at all.

| Brixham | 2 |

Paignton and Torquay town centre
Paignton's thirteen businesses are almost all home boarders, plus Happy Dogs R Us, the only day-care-only business on this page, running from a unit on the Yalberton Tor industrial estate. Torquay town centre's six are all home boarders too: The Dog Hotel, Jamie's Dog Walking and Home Boarding Service, Molly's Pet Care, Torbay Dog Walkers, Dogslegs and Furry Friends.
Brixham, Newton Abbot and Teignmouth & Dawlish
Brixham's two are the home boarders Alpha Paws and Camille's Home from Home Dog Boarding. Newton Abbot's two are the kennels Cary Boarding Kennels and Castleford Pet Centre, the only area on this page with no home boarder listed at all. Teignmouth & Dawlish's two are the home boarders Monty's Friends and Wickham Walkies, both of which also offer day care.
Kingsbridge & Salcombe and Dartmouth
Kingsbridge & Salcombe's two are also kennels rather than home boarders: The Dog Lodge, near Slapton, and Blackdown Rings Kennels & Cattery, at Loddiswell; no home boarder addressed specifically in Salcombe itself was confirmed with a phone number in this research. Dartmouth's one business is the home boarder Dartmouth Canine Care.
Totnes: no business shown
Totnes has no listed business at all. Two businesses were found addressed in the area during research, but neither had a phone number confirmed on its own page, and South Hams District Council's own register could not be read to check for others, so this is a genuine gap in what could be confirmed rather than a claim that Totnes has no dog boarders or day cares at all.
How these areas were worked out
An area shown here follows the postcode district a business's address sits in, or, for a home boarder, the area its own listing or council register entry states it covers. Every business shown also has a confirmed phone number, so the counts above only include businesses that could actually be reached, not every name found in research.
If you're near the edge of an area
Torquay's eight areas follow postcode districts and council boundaries rather than exact travel distances, so a business shown under one area may still be close to a neighbouring one; Newton Abbot's TQ12 postcode, for example, reaches towards both Kingsteignton and the edge of Dartmoor. If a nearby area shows fewer businesses than you expected, it is worth checking the areas either side of it too, and ringing the relevant council directly for its own current list.
