Dog day care and boarding in Slough and Windsor, area by area

Slough and Windsor's eleven listed dog day cares, boarding kennels and home boarders are spread unevenly across the page's four areas, and licensed across two different councils. This guide lists exactly what is published in each, together with the postcode district it covers; see our council licences guide for the detail behind each licence mentioned below.

Every one of the four areas has at least one business listed, though Slough town centre and Langley each have only one; if you are in either and want more choice, it is worth calling a business in a neighbouring area to ask whether it collects, or checking a home boarder's stated coverage before assuming it is too far. Maidenhead alone accounts for more than half of the eleven listings, which follows the shape of the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead's own register, itself heavily weighted towards Maidenhead and the villages around it such as Cookham and Taplow.

Slough town centre

One business is listed here: Claire's Comfy Canines, a day care and puppy creche based in Burnham within the SL1 postcode district. Its own site says it also covers Windsor and Maidenhead, and states a licence from the former South Bucks District Council, now Buckinghamshire Council, though that register was not checked for this page, so treat the claim as unverified rather than confirmed.

Langley

One business is listed here: Datchet Dog Walking, a home boarder run by Sarah Stanford, licensed by the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead for up to eight dogs despite trading under a dog-walking name. Its own site says it also covers Old Windsor, Windsor and Wraysbury, and both its day care and boarding include a daily hour-long walk.

Windsor & Eton

Three businesses are listed here: The Tarbay Centre, a boarding kennels at Oakley Green licensed for up to 70 dogs and 53 cats, which also runs a grooming parlour and puppy classes on site; SpeediePAWS, a home boarder licensed for up to nine dogs, also offering day care from £35 a weekday with a set morning drop-off window; and Barking Mad – Windsor & Staines, a home boarding matching franchise based just outside the area in Staines, which places dogs with vetted host families across Windsor, Eton and Old Windsor rather than boarding them itself.

Maidenhead

Six businesses are listed here, the most of any area on this page: Old Beams Kennels and Cattery, licensed for up to 60 dogs and 43 cats near Holyport, and Joe's Folly at Taplow, both boarding kennels taking dogs and cats, though only Old Beams could be matched to the current council register; Bruce's Doggy Day Care (Cookham), the local site of a wider day-care chain with prices from £39 to £50 a day; and three home boarders, Lulu's Home Boarding & Day care, Bertie and Friends and Hound Love, the last of which currently advertises only dog training on its own website despite holding a home boarding licence.
