Dog boarding and day care in Brighton, area by area
Brighton and the villages around it are covered by eight areas on this site, and the seventeen dog day care, home boarding and boarding-kennel businesses listed here are spread unevenly across them. Two areas, Shoreham-by-Sea and Lewes, currently have no business listed.

Brighton city centre, Kemptown & the Marina
Six businesses cover the city centre and Kemptown, more than any other area here: Barker's Dogs, Brighton Barkers, Dog Star, Nordic Paws, Paws at Home and Snobby Doggy, all home boarders licensed by Brighton & Hove City Council.
Hove & Aldrington
Three home boarders cover Hove and Aldrington, all licensed by Brighton & Hove City Council, the same register that also covers the city centre: Beach Barkers Pet Services, Pix's Paradise and Positive Paws at Zoe's.
Saltdean & Peacehaven
Three businesses under Lewes District Council cover Saltdean and Peacehaven: two home boarders, Mystery Paws and Waves & Waggy Tails, and Benwick Kennels & Cattery, the only boarding kennels and cattery listed for Brighton.
Woodingdean, Ovingdean & Rottingdean, and Patcham & Hollingbury
Two home boarders, FURB&B and Wendy's Walk & Board, cover Woodingdean, Ovingdean and Rottingdean. One home boarder, Waggy Days, covers Patcham and Hollingbury. Both areas fall under Brighton & Hove City Council, the same authority covering the city centre and Hove.
Portslade-by-Sea & Southwick
Two businesses under Adur District Council cover Portslade and Southwick: Sticks and Tricks, a home boarder, and Little Bones, which runs day care only for small dogs. Adur's own register could not be read during research, so ask each business to show its licence directly rather than relying on a council record here.
Shoreham-by-Sea and Lewes: no listing yet
Two areas carry no listing at all. Lewes town's absence is most likely a research gap rather than a real one: Lewes District Council's own register could not be opened during research, and the three businesses confirmed under that council all happen to sit on the Peacehaven and Saltdean side of the district rather than in Lewes itself. Shoreham-by-Sea looks like a genuine gap rather than a research artefact: a home-boarding directory search turned up only businesses elsewhere in West Sussex covering the town, not one based there, and Adur District Council's own register could not be checked to confirm this any further.
