How to choose dog boarding or day care in Blackpool and the Fylde coast

Thirteen dog boarders, day cares and kennels are listed across Blackpool and the Fylde coast: eight in the Blackpool centre & South Shore area, two in Lytham St Annes, two in Poulton-le-Fylde and one in Cleveleys & Thornton. Blackpool north & Bispham, Fleetwood and Layton & Marton have no business published here at the time of writing, even though some businesses based elsewhere in the town say they will travel to those areas — ask directly whether a business covers your postcode before assuming it does.

Home boarding or a kennels/day-care site

Three councils cover the areas listed here, and none of their registers currently publishes a star rating for this town. • How many other dogs will be there during my dates, and are they from one household or several?
• How is medication given during a stay, and is there an extra charge for it?
• What happens if my dog needs a vet while in your care, and who decides and pays?
• Are you insured, and can you show evidence of current cover?
