Vaccinations, licences and what to ask in Warrington

No specific vaccination requirement is quoted here for any Warrington business, because a requirement can change and this research cannot verify one on an ongoing basis. Licensing

Warrington's page spans four councils. Eight businesses are licensed by Warrington Borough Council, whose register is read here through a third-party mirror rather than the council's own site, so no star rating is shown for any of them, only a licence number and expiry; ask to see the certificate itself when you call, and note that Pawsitive Retreat's licence has already reached its expiry date on the register, so ask directly whether it has been renewed. Four businesses, on the Golborne and Lowton side of the Newton-le-Willows & Golborne area, are licensed by Wigan Council, which publishes its own register with a star rating for each entry. The remaining three, in Northwich, state on their own websites that they hold a Cheshire West and Chester Council licence, but that council's own register could not be read for this research, so none of the three has been independently confirmed; treat their claims as something to check, not a fact you can look up here. One business, Wellie Dogs Walks, quotes a licence number that does not match either register's format, so ask directly which council licenses it.

Breed rules and insurance

A boarding or day-care business is entitled to ask about breed restrictions or refuse a booking, including for an XL Bully with a valid exemption certificate, so ask directly rather than assume either way. None of the businesses listed here publish a stated insurance position, so ask whether the business holds public liability cover if that matters to you.
