Warrington town centre
Three businesses, all home boarders licensed by Warrington Borough Council: Digs for Dogs, PetStay and Pawsitive Retreat. Stockton Heath & Appleton
Two businesses: The Dogs Pad Kennels & Cattery, a family-run boarding kennels and cattery in Grappenhall, and Wellie Dogs Walks, a day-care and dog-walking business near Dutton whose licensing council could not be confirmed. See the Stockton Heath & Appleton area page.
Great Sankey & Penketh
One business: No More Kennels, offering day care, boarding and home boarding from the Riverside Trading Estate in Penketh, licensed separately for day care and boarding kennels, both due to expire within days of this page being checked. Birchwood & Culcheth
Two businesses, both home boarders licensed by Warrington Borough Council: WAGGIO and Pets Homes and Gardens Stockton Heath, the latter registered under a WA3 postcode despite its Stockton Heath trading name. See the Birchwood & Culcheth area page.
Northwich
Three businesses, all licensed (by their own account) by Cheshire West and Chester Council, whose register could not be confirmed for this research: The Hound House, Canine Clubhouse and Happy Feet Dog Boarding, the last of which is open seven days a week from 7am to 6pm, the longest hours of the three. Newton-le-Willows & Golborne
Four businesses, all licensed by Wigan Council: Wyllow's Walkies, Hollybank Boarding Cattery & Kennels, Dogs Country Club and We Love Pets Wigan. Wyllow's Walkies holds a 5-star licence, Hollybank and We Love Pets Wigan both hold a 3-star licence, and Dogs Country Club holds two separate licences rated 1 star and 4 stars. All four are actually on the Golborne or Lowton side of this area rather than in Newton-le-Willows itself; Newton-le-Willows proper sits in the WA12 postcode area, licensed by St Helens Borough Council, which keeps no public register, and no independent business could be confirmed trading there. An uneven spread
Every one of Warrington's six area pages carries at least one confirmed business, but Newton-le-Willows itself, the WA12 postcode area the sixth page is named after, has none: supply is not spread evenly. Great Sankey & Penketh has only one confirmed business. Northwich, Stockton Heath & Appleton and Birchwood & Culcheth also rest largely on self-stated or third-party-mirrored licence claims rather than a council register the site could read directly.
