Day care
Bruce's Tunbridge Wells prices day care by how often your dog attends: £46 for one day a week, down to £35 a day once you book four or five days. Showpaws, on a farm near Pembury, charges £35 for a day of care, and Farm from Home, near Crowborough, charges £30 for a full eight-hour day or £22 for a half day. Snuggle and Cuddle Dog Boarding, also near Crowborough, charges £21 a day for day care or boarding, rising to £25 a day for a dog under a year old.
Overnight boarding
Three of the five list an overnight or per-day boarding figure, and they are not directly comparable: Showpaws charges £45 for overnight boarding, Farm from Home charges £35 a dog Monday to Thursday and £45 Friday to Sunday, and Snuggle and Cuddle Dog Boarding charges its £21 day rate plus a £4 night-time charge. Ask exactly what each price includes, and how the first and last day of a stay are counted, before comparing them.
Extras and add-ons
