Barking Mad Taunton is the local franchise of the national Barking Mad network, run by Penny and Clive Beckhelling, who have lived in the Taunton area for more than 40 years. Rather than boarding dogs at one address, it matches them with a network of vetted home-boarding hosts across Taunton, Bridgwater, Minehead and the surrounding villages. Published prices include a one-off £35 registration fee, £32 a day for one dog, £55 a day for two, and £40 for a round-trip collection and delivery. Somerset Council's register lists a dog home boarding licence for the franchise; no star rating is shown for Somerset licences here. Call to be matched with a host and check current rates.
