Dog boarding and day care prices in Stockport

Prices are as the businesses published them when we last checked (September 2026). They can change without notice, so confirm them when you book.

Fourteen dog boarders, day cares and kennels are listed for Stockport, and only two of them publish a price on their own site: Cheadle Pet Care, a home boarder in the Cheadle & Gatley area, and Clare Kennels, boarding kennels in Whaley Bridge. Everyone else quotes once they know your dog's size and your dates, so the figures below are a floor for what boarding costs locally, not a full price list for the town.

Boarding kennels versus home boarding

The two published prices are not directly comparable. Clare Kennels charges by the dog per day for kennel boarding, with the rate falling as more dogs from the same booking board together: £22 a day for one dog, £20 each for two, and £18 each for three or four. Cheadle Pet Care's £27 is for one night of home boarding, where your dog stays in the boarder's own house rather than a kennel run; as of this check, Cheadle Pet Care has closed its home-boarding books to new clients, though its other prices above still apply to cat and small-animal visits. Ask exactly what each price includes, and how the first and last day of a stay are counted, before comparing figures.

Dog walking as an add-on

Cheadle Pet Care is the only business here to publish a stand-alone dog-walking price: £11 an hour on a regular booking, rising to £15 at weekends and in the evening. This is not a boarding price, but it shows what a one-off walk costs from a business that also boards dogs.

Everyone else

The other twelve dog boarders, day cares and kennels listed for Stockport, including six of the seven home boarders and five of the six boarding kennels, do not publish a price. This is normal for this niche, especially among home boarders, who usually price around the length of stay, the number of dogs and how far they need to travel, so have your dog's details and dates ready when you call. None of the prices above include extras that often apply elsewhere, such as bank holidays, collection, or a second dog from a different household, so confirm the total before booking.
