Home boarding
Three of the four published price lists include a home-boarding rate, and they are not directly comparable. We Love Pets Stevenage and We Love Pets Hitchin both charge £50 per 24 hours under their shared franchise pricing, while K9 Interaction, near Baldock, charges £38 a day. Little Dave and Charlie, in Chells & Great Ashby, prices its overnight boarding at £40 as a flat rate rather than per 24 hours. Ask exactly what each price includes, and how the first and last day of a stay are counted, before comparing them.
Daycare
Little Dave and Charlie is the only business here that publishes a daycare rate: £30 a day, covering the hours 6:45am to 5:30pm, alongside its £40 overnight-boarding price.
We Love Pets: the same price list, two branches
We Love Pets Stevenage and We Love Pets Hitchin are separate branches of the same national franchise and publish identical core rates: £25 an hour for a dog walk, £50 per 24 hours for home boarding, and £18 for a 20-minute pet visit. Stevenage's branch page also lists house sitting at £85 per 24 hours, which was not shown on the Hitchin branch page checked here. The two branches currently share one contact number by franchise design, so either can take your call; ask which branch, and which host, will actually look after your dog.
Everyone else
TopDog, Country Boarding Kennels, Sentabarcs, Happy Waggy Tails and Wagalot Dogs do not publish a price anywhere we could check. Ask each one directly for a rate covering your dog's size and the dates you need, and whether collection, a bank holiday or medication changes the price.

- Is the price per day, per night, or per 24 hours, and how are the first and last day counted?
- Does a second dog from the same house cost less, the same, or come with a discount?
- Is there an extra charge for a bank holiday, Christmas or New Year?
- Is collection and drop-off included, or charged separately?
- Is there a deposit or a paid trial stay before the first full booking?
