Croft Farm Kennels has run boarding kennels for dogs for more than 40 years on a 40-acre site between Harpenden and Wheathampstead, beside the River Lea, trading as Croft Farm Wheathampstead Ltd. Kennels are heated and sized for different breeds, with around two and a half hours of supervised outdoor play a day. Collection and delivery run Monday to Friday 9am to noon and 5pm to 6pm, and 9am to noon at weekends, closed on bank holidays, Easter and Christmas Day. A separate livery stables operates on the same site. St Albans City and District Council licenses the kennels for up to 36 dogs, 3 stars, licence number LN/201900005, running to December 2027.
