How Salisbury's councils license dog boarders

Seven of Wiltshire's 11 businesses on this page are confirmed this way: Cathedral View Canine Creche, Clearway Kennels, Stones Doggy Daycare, Sue's Doggy Day Care & Boarding, Paws Adored Daycare and Home Boarding, Flo and Friends Pet Services and Trendy Dogs Amesbury. The other four — Pad and Paws, The Salisbury Dog Retreat, Court Lane Kennels and The Sighthound Lounge — state their own Wiltshire licence and a star rating on their own site, but neither the blocked council register nor the mirror could confirm it under their exact name, so no licence panel or star rating is shown for them here.
Test Valley Borough Council: its own PDF, not blocked
Test Valley publishes its own downloadable register covering Andover, listing licence type, town or village and a licence number, and it is not blocked to an automated check. Five of the seven Andover businesses on this page — Coco's Canine Creche, The Dogchester Hotel, Muttrails Boarding, My Best Friend Andover and Bramble Cottage Dog Boarding and Training — are confirmed against this register; it prints no star rating, so none is shown. The other two, Harley's Hounds and Sallys Dogs Tails, were also matched to a Test Valley licence in the same register copy, but the expiry date recorded against each has now passed with no newer renewal found, so no current licence panel is shown for either on this page; ask to see a current certificate before booking with them.
Winchester City Council: its own PDF, addresses withheld for privacy
Winchester City Council also publishes its own register, deliberately leaving out street addresses "for privacy purposes" but giving town or village, phone, how many dogs a licence covers and a star rating, split into boarding, home boarding and day care tables. All four Winchester businesses on this page are confirmed against it: Sunrise Wiggles and Your PetPal at 5 stars, ScenterBarks also at 5 stars, and Tina and Pals at 3 stars.
What to check yourself
For a business confirmed above, the licence link shown on its own page comes directly from the relevant council's register or its mirror. For the four self-reported Wiltshire licences, the most direct route is to ask for the licence number and call Wiltshire Council's own licensing team, rather than relying on a claim this directory could not independently check either.
What a licence covers regardless of which council issued it
Whichever council is involved, every licensed business in Salisbury has been assessed against the same 2018 regulations covering space, exercise, feeding, record-keeping and how many dogs may be kept at once, and a council can revoke or refuse to renew a licence if a business falls below standard. A star rating, where shown, is the council's own inspection score, not a customer review.
