Every area has at least one listing, though the spread is uneven: Waterlooville & Denmead has six, while Fratton, Baffins & North End has only one. Portsmouth city centre and Southsea

Portsmouth city centre has three home boarders, all operating across a wide patch of the town rather than from one fixed premises: We Love Pets Portsmouth & Southsea, Holiday Hounds and Homes and Hounds. Southsea also has three: Haven4Hounds and The Pet Butler as home boarders, plus BusyB Pet Care running day care from a fixed premises.

Fratton, Baffins & North End

This is the thinnest area on the map, with a single listing: Nanny Sue's Doggy Day Care, which publishes a flat day stay of up to 12 hours at £15. If you are looking specifically in this area, it is worth calling Portsmouth City Council directly, since a small or newly licensed operator can take time to appear in research like this, and the council itself publishes no register to check completeness against.

Cosham, Drayton & Port Solent

Two home boarders are listed here: The Pukka Pooch and M-Bark Boarding & Walking, both also offering day care alongside overnight stays. Neither is confirmed against a council register, since this area falls under Portsmouth City Council, which publishes none.

Waterlooville & Denmead and Havant

These two areas, both covered by Havant Borough Council, carry the largest share of the town's listings between them: six in Waterlooville & Denmead, including Muirburn Holiday Boarding for Dogs & Cats, the town's one boarding kennels, and four in Havant, all home boarders. Eight of these ten businesses are confirmed against Havant's own public register.

No area is empty, but coverage is uneven

Every one of Portsmouth's six areas has at least one listed business, so there is no postcode district on this town's map with nothing at all. What varies is depth: Waterlooville & Denmead and Havant, both licensed by Havant Borough Council, together account for more than half of the town's nineteen listings, while Fratton, Baffins & North End has only the one. If you live in a thinner area, it is worth phoning a business from a neighbouring area to ask whether it also covers yours, since several of the home boarders listed here work across more than one part of the town rather than from a single fixed address.
