Twenty dog boarders, day cares and kennels are listed for Liverpool, and only two of them publish a price for boarding a dog on their own site or page: Cath's Pet Care, a home boarder in the Huyton & Prescot area, and PetStay Liverpool & Knowsley, the local branch of the national PetStay home-boarding franchise. Two boarders, two different models
Cath's Pet Care is a single home boarder taking dogs into her own house in Huyton & Prescot; her price rises for a second dog from the same household and for puppies or older dogs that may need more attention. PetStay Liverpool & Knowsley is not one address but a network of carers matched to a dog across a wide area of the city; its price rises with the number of dogs boarded together rather than by which carer is used. Neither figure is directly comparable with a kennel's per-night rate, since both are home-based stays rather than a kennel run.
A training price, not a boarding price
Crosby Dog Care, a home boarder in the Crosby & Bootle area, publishes a training-session price of £25 an hour within three miles of its base, alongside a £5-a-day weekend surcharge for Friday-to-Sunday boarding stays and a 10% deposit for bookings of a week or more — useful context on how a boarder's costs can be built up from a headline figure, even though the training price itself is not what a boarding stay would cost.
Everyone else
