Day care or boarding in Lincoln?
Day care and overnight boarding solve different problems, and most of the businesses listed for Lincoln offer both, so the choice is not always between two separate businesses. Of the eleven kennels, day cares and home boarders on this page, nine list day care among their services, and only two run boarding without any day care option at all.
Day care only
A Dog’s Life Group, in Grantham, is the only Lincoln business offering day care without an overnight option, running Monday to Friday alongside an on-site grooming service, Pamper Pod. If your dog only ever needs cover during the working day, this is the one Lincoln listing built around that pattern rather than around an overnight stay.
Day care alongside overnight boarding
The other eight day care providers also board dogs overnight, either in a kennels or in the boarder’s own home: Kendrick’s K9 Services and Elderberry Boarding Kennels run boarding kennels alongside day care, while A Groom With A View Lincoln, Lady Pea’s Dogs, Absolutely Barkers Grantham, Who Lets Your Dog Out? UK, We Love Pets Sleaford and Lea Wood Trails and Tails combine day care with home boarding.
Overnight only
Two businesses board dogs overnight without a day care option: A17 Boarding Kennels & Cattery, near Heckington, which also takes cats, and Corner Cottage Animal Boarding, near Gainsborough, which also runs a cattery and a grooming salon.
Members-only day care
Who Lets Your Dog Out? UK’s day care arm, the Dog Adventure Centre, and A Dog’s Life Group both run a membership model for regular day care customers, so ask whether a one-off visit is possible or whether you need to register first, and how far ahead a place needs to be booked once you have joined.
Ask which one you actually need
If you are not sure whether your dog needs a day or a night away, describe your situation directly: how long the dog will be away from you, whether it has been left with strangers before, and whether it needs medication or has any anxiety around other dogs. A business that offers both, such as Kendrick’s K9 Services or Elderberry Boarding Kennels, can often move a dog between a day visit and a full stay without a change of business, which is worth asking about if your own plans might change closer to the date.
Cats and other pets
Three of Lincoln’s businesses double as a cattery: A17 Boarding Kennels & Cattery, Corner Cottage Animal Boarding and Lea Wood Trails and Tails. If you have more than one type of pet needing cover at the same time, ask directly whether a business can take both under one booking rather than assuming a dog-only business will.
