West Lindsey and North Kesteven: their own registers, no star field
West Lindsey District Council licenses Kendrick’s K9 Services and Lea Wood Trails and Tails; North Kesteven District Council licenses A Groom With A View Lincoln, Elderberry Boarding Kennels, Lady Pea’s Dogs, We Love Pets Sleaford and A17 Boarding Kennels & Cattery. Both councils publish their own online register with a licence number and an expiry date, and both are checkable directly, but neither register carries a star-rating field at all, on either the list or an individual operator’s own page. UK are licensed by South Kesteven District Council, which publishes no register of its own online: the only public source found is a third-party mirror site, last refreshed 1 April 2026, which lists a licence type and number but no star rating and no expiry date either.
The one business that could not be confirmed
Corner Cottage Animal Boarding states on its own site that it holds a licence from North Lincolnshire Council rather than one of the other three, since its postcode sits close to that council’s boundary. No North Lincolnshire register could be found to check this claim, so no licence panel is shown for this listing, whatever the business’s own site says.
The one council with stars, licensing none of these eleven
City of Lincoln Council, covering Lincoln’s own city centre, publishes the only register of the four that shows a star rating directly on its own page, grouped by ward. It licenses several home boarders inside the city, but none of them could be matched to a confirmed phone number in this research pass, so none appear on this page. That means, despite Lincoln being the town this page covers, not one of its eleven listed businesses is actually licensed by Lincoln’s own city council, and no star rating appears anywhere on this page as a result.
