Nine dog boarders, day cares and kennels are listed for Halifax and Calderdale, and only three of them publish a price on their own site: It's A Dogs Life Halifax, Freddie's Friends and We Love Pets Calder Valley. The other six — Boothwood Boarding Kennels & Cattery, Toothill Pet Boarding, Croftmount Pet Resort, Sunnyview Kennels and Cattery, Yappy Days and Millen K9 Services — quote once they know your dog's size, temperament and dates, so the figures below are a floor for what boarding, day care and grooming cost locally, not a full price list for the area.

Home boarding
Only one business publishes an overnight home-boarding figure: We Love Pets Calder Valley charges £45 per 24 hours. Freddie's Friends and Millen K9 Services are also licensed for home boarding but do not publish an overnight rate, so ask them directly what a night or a longer stay costs, and how the first and last day are counted.
Day care
Two businesses publish day-care prices, and they are priced differently. It's A Dogs Life Halifax, at Netherton Mills, charges £19 for a full day if collected before 5pm or £24 after 5pm, £12 for a half day, and £10 for a second dog from the same household. Freddie's Friends, a home boarder in north Halifax that also offers day care, charges £20 for a full day and £11 for a half day. Yappy Days, the day-care centre next to Sowerby Bridge railway station, does not publish a price, saying only that its fees are competitive and accessible.
Dog walking and grooming as add-ons
Two of the home boarders also publish stand-alone dog-walking prices: Freddie's Friends and We Love Pets Calder Valley both charge £15 an hour. Neither of these is a boarding price, but they show what a walk costs from businesses that also board dogs. It's A Dogs Life Halifax publishes a separate grooming price list running from £15 for a bath, groom and nail trim to £25 for a full groom, with cat grooming also £25 and teeth cleaning £30.
Everyone else
The other six businesses listed for Halifax and Calderdale — Boothwood Boarding Kennels & Cattery and Toothill Pet Boarding near Sowerby Bridge, Croftmount Pet Resort near Ogden, Sunnyview Kennels and Cattery near Todmorden, Yappy Days in Sowerby Bridge, and Millen K9 Services in north Halifax — do not publish a price. This is normal for boarding kennels and home boarders in particular, since a stay is usually priced around your dog's size, the length of stay and how many dogs are involved, so have your dates and dog's details ready when you call. None of the prices above include extras that often apply elsewhere: bank holidays, collection, or a second dog from a different household are commonly charged on top, so confirm the final total before booking.
