Overnight and home boarding
Two shapes of overnight care publish a price here, and they are not directly comparable. Nightingale Boarding Kennels, purpose-built kennels in Polegate, charges £25 a night for a dog sharing a kennel, £30 for a dog on its own, or £20 each for three or more dogs sharing, with a minimum stay charge of £60 for one dog or £100 for two. We Love Pets Eastbourne & Polegate, a home boarder, charges £50 for 24 hours, where your dog lives in the boarder's own house rather than a kennel block. Active Animal Pet Care, a Hailsham home boarder, prices home boarding and day care together at £25 a day, though its own site currently says it is not accepting new dogs for either. Ask exactly what each price includes, and how the first and last day of a stay are counted, before comparing them.
Day care and add-on visits
No business here publishes a price for day care on its own; Active Animal Pet Care's £25-a-day figure covers home boarding and day care under one price. Active Animal Pet Care and Salty Seadogs Seaford both also price shorter drop-in visits: an £8 puppy or pet visit from Active Animal Pet Care, and a £5 pet-feeding visit from Salty Seadogs Seaford.
Walking as an add-on
Three of the four businesses that publish any price also price a stand-alone dog walk: We Love Pets Eastbourne & Polegate at £19.50 an hour, Active Animal Pet Care at £12 an hour, and Salty Seadogs Seaford at £10 for an individual walk or £8.50 for a group walk.
