Dog boarding and day care prices in Chester

Prices are as the businesses published them when we last checked (September 2026). They can change without notice, so confirm them when you book.

Eleven dog boarders, day cares and kennels are listed for Chester, spanning three council areas, and only four of them publish a price on their own site or page: Digs for Dogs (Chester), All Creatures (Doggie Day Care), Ty Gwyn Pets and Waggy-tails. The rest quote once they know your dog's size, temperament and dates, so the figures below are a floor for what boarding and day care cost locally, not a full price list for the town.

Home boarding

Digs for Dogs (Chester) charges £34 a day for one dog and £60 for two, plus a one-off £64 trial sleepover before a first full booking. Waggy-tails prices home boarding by the night rather than the day: £35 for one dog, £55 for two or £75 for three. The two are not directly comparable, since one is a per-day rate and the other per-night, so ask exactly how the first and last day of a stay are counted before comparing them.

Day care

Three businesses publish a day care price. Ty Gwyn Pets' Woof Club charges £23 a dog per day; Waggy-tails charges £25 for one dog, £40 for two or £55 for three; All Creatures (Doggie Day Care) charges £25 a day including its own pick-up and drop-off round.

Kennels and cats

Ty Gwyn Pets is the only business here to publish a kennel-boarding rate for dogs: £24 a day for one dog, £40 for two or £54 for three, plus £17 a day for a single cat. It also charges double the normal rate for boarding on Christmas Day and New Year's Day, so ask about holiday pricing separately.

Everyone else

The other seven dog boarders and day cares listed for Chester — Oakfield Farm Boarding Kennels, Canine Capers of Chester, Calcot Kennels and Cattery, Aunty Vikki's Pet Services Ltd, Wynnestay Kennels & Cattery, Glenbrittle Kennels and Warren Wood Kennels and Cattery — do not publish a price. This is normal for this niche: a price usually depends on the length of stay, the number of dogs from the same household and how far a collection round has to travel, so have your dates and dog's details ready when you call. None of the prices above include extras that often apply elsewhere: bank holidays, collection and a second dog from a different household are commonly charged on top, so confirm the final total before booking.
