Dog boarding and day care prices in Bristol

Prices are as the businesses published them when we last checked (September 2026). They can change without notice, so confirm them when you book.

Twenty-five dog boarders, day cares and kennels are listed for Bristol, and only seven of them publish a price on their own site or page: Cottage Kennels & Cattery, Friends for Pets South Gloucestershire, Friends for Pets North Somerset, House of Paws Bristol, Precious Paws Pet-Care by Kirsty, Walks with the Pack and We Love Pets Clevedon and Portishead. The rest quote once they know your dog's size, temperament and dates, so the figures below are a floor for what boarding and day care cost locally, not a full price list for the town.

Home boarding and kennels

Four businesses here publish an overnight or 24-hour figure, and they are not directly comparable: Cottage Kennels & Cattery charges £35 a day for one dog in a kennel near Hambrook (rising to £60 for two dogs sharing and £75 for three), Friends for Pets South Gloucestershire quotes home boarding from £45, House of Paws Bristol charges a flat £45 for 24-hour home boarding near Bradley Stoke (plus £35 for a second dog from the same household), and We Love Pets Clevedon and Portishead charges from £66 per 24 hours for home boarding around Portishead and Clevedon. A kennel price and a home-boarding price are not the same thing: one is a dog in its own run, the other is a dog living in the boarder's house. Ask exactly what each price includes, and how the first and last day of a stay are counted, before comparing them.

Day care

Three businesses publish a day-care rate: Friends for Pets South Gloucestershire and House of Paws Bristol both quote £30, and Walks with the Pack charges £45 for a full day in Bedminster and Southville, built around a morning hike and an afternoon walk rather than a kennelled group.

Dog walking, visits and house sitting as add-ons

Several of the businesses that publish a boarding or day-care price also publish separate rates for a stand-alone walk, a pet visit or house sitting while you are away: Precious Paws Pet-Care by Kirsty charges £8 for a pet visit and £14 for two visits on the same day; Friends for Pets South Gloucestershire and Friends for Pets North Somerset both quote dog walking from £11 and a pet or cat visit from £8, with house sitting from £70 and £35 respectively; and We Love Pets Clevedon and Portishead charges from £22.50 an hour for a dog walk, from £16.50 for a pet visit and from £98 per 24 hours for house sitting. None of these figures are a boarding price, but they show what the same businesses charge for the smaller jobs they also do.

Cat boarding, where it is offered

Cottage Kennels & Cattery is the only business here to publish a cat-boarding rate alongside its dog kennels: £19 a day for one cat, £32 for two sharing and £42 for three. It is included above for reference, not as a dog-boarding price.

Everyone else

The other eighteen dog boarders and day cares listed for Bristol, including most of the town's home boarders, do not publish a price. This is normal for this niche: a home boarder in particular usually prices around the length of stay, the number of dogs from the same household, and how far they need to travel, so have your dates and dog's details ready when you call. None of the prices above include extras that often apply elsewhere: bank holidays, collection, or a second dog from a different household are commonly charged on top, so confirm the final total before booking.
