Dog boarding and day care prices in Basingstoke

Prices are as the businesses published them when we last checked (September 2026). They can change without notice, so confirm them when you book.

Twenty-six home boarders are listed for Basingstoke, spread across six of the town's eight defined areas (Hook and Odiham currently have no listing; see our choosing guide for why). Every one of them is a home boarder rather than a boarding kennels or a stand-alone day-care premises, and only one, Hilltop Dogs in the Basingstoke centre area, publishes a price on its own website. The figures below are what that one business charges, not a price list for the town.

Day care versus overnight, from the one business that prices both

Hilltop Dogs is the only Basingstoke listing that prices day care and overnight boarding side by side: a booked day costs £27 for one dog and £54 for two, Monday to Friday, while an overnight stay costs £40 for one dog and £80 for two, Monday to Thursday. It accepts only small and medium dogs, up to 50cm at the shoulder, and opens Monday to Friday 8am to 6pm, with weekends by appointment. Its prices are not necessarily typical of every home boarder in the town; they are simply the only figures published anywhere in the research for this town.

Why so few businesses publish a price

The other 25 home boarders listed here do not publish a price online, on a social page or anywhere else found in research. A home boarder usually quotes once it knows your dog's size, temperament and dates, so call and ask directly rather than assuming a figure. Two of the 26, Trusted Pet Carers Basingstoke and We Love Pets Basingstoke, are local branches of national franchises; neither branch's own page publishes a Basingstoke-specific price either, so the same advice applies: ask the branch directly.

What to ask when you call

  • Ask for a price for your dog's size and the exact dates you need, rather than a general rate.
  • Ask whether the price is per day, per night or per 24 hours, since these are not always the same thing.
  • Ask what is included — walks, feeding, medication — and what, if anything, costs extra.
  • Ask about charges for a second dog from the same household, and for collection or drop-off.
