Nine dog boarders, kennels and day cares are listed for Barnstaple and North Devon, and only two of them publish a price on their own site: Anna's Ark Pet Services, a home boarder in the Barnstaple area, and Trixie Paws, a home boarder in the Bideford area. The other seven, all boarding kennels, spread across Braunton & Ilfracombe, South Molton & Lynton, Bideford, Great Torrington & Holsworthy, Beaworthy & Umberleigh and Okehampton, quote once they know your dog's size and dates, so the figures below are what two businesses charge, not a price list for the whole area.

Home boarding
Both businesses that publish a price are home boarders rather than kennels. Anna's Ark Pet Services charges £30 a night for one dog and £25 a night for a second dog from the same household, plus £10 a night for a small pet such as a rabbit or guinea pig; a trial night, ahead of a longer stay, is also £30, and the business charges a double rate over Christmas, Boxing Day and New Year's Eve. Trixie Paws charges £45 a day for home boarding, run from the Bideford area.
Day care and extras
Trixie Paws is the only business here to publish a day care price: £35 a day. It also offers paid access to its own secure field, at £6 for a 30-minute session, separate from a boarding or day-care booking.
Everyone else
The remaining seven businesses, Faithful Friends Kennels and Coastal Kennels in Braunton & Ilfracombe, Trelawn Boarding Kennels in South Molton & Lynton, Braddon House Kennels in Bideford, Bogmoor Kennels in Great Torrington & Holsworthy, Whitebridge Boarding Kennels in Beaworthy & Umberleigh, and Riverside Boarding Kennels and Cattery in Okehampton, do not publish a price. This is normal for boarding kennels in particular, where the rate often depends on the dog's size, the length of stay and whether it falls in a peak season, so have your dates and dog's details ready when you call. None of the prices above include extras that often apply elsewhere: bank holidays, collection or a second dog from a different household are commonly charged on top, so confirm the final total before booking.
